SEV Biblia, Chapter 30:1

¶ Harás asimismo un altar de sahumerio de incienso; de madera de cedro lo harás.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Exodus 30:1

Verse 1.
Altar to burn incense] The Samaritan omits the ten first verses of this chapter, because it inserts them after the 32d verse of chap. 26. See the note there "chap. xxvi. 32".

Shittim wood] The same of which the preceding articles were made, because it was abundant in those parts, and because it was very durable; hence everywhere the Septuagint translation, which was made in Egypt, renders the original by xulon ashpton, incorruptible wood.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 1-10 - The altar of incense represented the Son of God in his human nature and the incense burned thereon typified his pleading for his people The continual intercession of Christ was represented by the dail burning of incense thereon, morning and evening. Once every year the blood of the atonement was to be applied to it, denoting that the intercession of Christ has all its virtue from his sufferings on earth and that we need no other sacrifice or intercessor but Christ alone.
