SEV Biblia, Chapter 44:10
¶ Y los levitas que se apartaron lejos de mí cuando Israel erró, el cual se desvió de mí en pos de sus ídolos, llevarán su iniquidad.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - Ezekiel 44:10
Verse 10. And the Levites that are gone away far from me] This refers to the schism of Jeroboam, who, when he set up a new worship, got as many of the priests and Levites to join him in his idolatry as he could. These, on the return from the captivity, should not be permitted to perform the functions of priests in the new temple; but they might be continued as keepers of all the charge of the house-be treasurers, guards of the temple, porters, &c.; see ver. 11-15. The whole of these passages refer to the period of time when the second temple was built.
Matthew Henry Commentary
This chapter contains ordinances relative to the true priests. The prince evidently means Christ, and the words in Ezek. 44:2, may remin us that no other can enter heaven, the true sanctuary, as Christ did namely, by virtue of his own excellency, and his personal holiness righteousness, and strength. He who is the Brightness of Jehovah' glory entered by his own holiness; but that way is shut to the whol human race, and we all must enter as sinners, by faith in his blood and by the power of his grace __________________________________________________________________
