Beware lest you say, 'We have found wisdom, God may refute him, not man;'

SEV Biblia, Chapter 32:13

Para que no digáis: Nosotros hemos hallado sabiduría ; que conviene que Dios lo derribe, y no el hombre.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Job 32:13

Verse 13. We have found out
wisdom ] We by dint of our own wisdom and understanding, have found out the true system of God's providence; and have been able to account for all the sufferings and tribulations of Job.

Had they been able to confute Job, they would have triumphed over him in their own self-sufficiency.

God thrusteth him down, not man. ] This is no accidental thing that has happened to him: he is suffering under the just judgments of God, and therefore he must be the wicked man which we supposed him to be.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 6-14 - Elihu professes to speak by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, an corrects both parties. He allowed that those who had the longes experience should speak first. But God gives wisdom as he pleases; thi encouraged him to state his opinion. By attention to the word of God and dependence upon the Holy Spirit, young men may become wiser tha the aged; but this wisdom will render them swift to hear, slow to speak, and disposed to give others a patient hearing.
