SEV Biblia, Chapter 18:13
Las primicias de todas las cosas de la tierra de ellos, las cuales traerán al SEÑOR, serán tuyas; todo limpio en tu casa comerá de ellas.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 13. [And] whatsoever is first ripe in the land , etc.] Of any other sort of fruit, figs, pomegranates, apples, plums, pears, etc. besides olives and vines; which they shall bring unto the Lord, shall be thine ; which they shall bring in a basket to the tabernacle, where it was, or to the temple, when built: this the priests were to have, (see Deuteronomy 26:2-4); everyone that is clean in thine house shall eat of it ; (see Gill on “ Numbers 18:11”).
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 8-19 - All believers are spiritual priests, and God has promised to take car of them. Godliness has the promise of the life that now is. And from the provision here made for the priests, the apostle shows that it is the duty of christian churches to maintain their ministers. Scandalou maintenance makes scandalous ministers. The priests were to be wholl devoted to their ministry, not diverted from it, or disturbed in it, by worldly care or business. Also, that they might be examples of livin by faith, not only in God's providence, but in his ordinances. The bes should be offered for the first-fruits unto the Lord. Those who thin to save, by putting God off with the refuse, deceive themselves, for God is not mocked.
