SEV Biblia, Chapter 17:22

Y el SEÑOR oyó la voz de Elías, y el alma del niño volvió a sus entrañas, y revivió.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - 1 Kings 17:22

Verse 22. And the
soul] pn nephesh, of the child came into him again, wbrq l[ al kirbo, into the midst of him; and he revived, jyw vaiyechi, and he became alive. Did he not become alive from the circumstance of the immaterial principle coming again into him? Although jwr ruach is sometimes put for the breath, yet pn generally means the immortal spirit, and where it seems to refer to animal life alone, it is only such a life as is the immediate and necessary effect of the presence of the immortal spirit.

The words and mode of expression here appear to me a strong proof, not only of the existence of an immortal and immaterial spirit in man, but also that that spirit can and does exist in a separate state from the body. It is here represented as being in the midst of the child, like a spring in the center of a machine, which gives motion to every part, and without which the whole would stand still.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 22. And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah , etc.] In prayer, and answered it: and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived ; this is the first instance of anyone being raised from the dead; this Satan has imitated; hence the many fabulous stories with the Heathens of persons being raised to life after death f382 . Ver. 23 . And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house , etc.] Being come to life, he took it off of the bed in his bedchamber, and brought it down to the lower part of the house, where the woman was: and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, see, thy son liveth ; which no doubt was to her great surprise, and was a wonderful instance of divine power and goodness, and to which the apostle may have respect, ( Hebrews 11:35), Bunting says, the inhabitants of this place now take upon them to show the chamber wherein the prophet Elias lived, when he raised the widow’s child to life.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 17-24 - Neither
faith nor obedience shut out afflictions and death. The chil being dead, the mother spake to the prophet, rather to give vent to he sorrow, than in hope of relief. When God removes our comforts from us he remembers our sins against us, perhaps the sins of our youth, thoug long since past. When God remembers our sins against us, he designs to teach us to remember them against ourselves, and to repent of them Elijah's prayer was doubtless directed by the Holy Spirit. The chil revived. See the power of prayer, and the power of Him who hear prayer __________________________________________________________________
