SEV Biblia, Chapter 22:43
Y anduvo en todo el camino de Asa su padre, sin declinar de él, haciendo lo recto en los ojos del SEÑOR. Con todo eso, los altos no fueron quitados; porque aún el pueblo sacrificaba, y quemaba incienso en los altos.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - 1 Kings 22:43
Verse 43. The high places were not taken away] In 2 Chronicles xvii. 6, it is expressly said, that he did take away the high places. Allowing that the text is right in 2 Chron., the two places may be easily reconciled. There were two kinds of high places in the land: 1. Those used for idolatrous purposes. 2. Those that were consecrated to God, and were used before the temple was built. The former he did take away; the latter he did not. But some think the parallel place in 2 Chron. xvii. 6; is corrupted, and that, instead of rysh dw[w veod hesir, "and moreover he took away," we should read, alw rysh velo hesir, "and he did NOT take away."
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 41-50 - Jehoshaphat's reign appears to have been one of the best, both as to piety and prosperity. He pleased God, and God blessed him.
