SEV Biblia, Chapter 14:23

Se levantó luego Joab, y fue a Gesur, y volvió a Absalón a Jerusalén.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 23. So
Joab arose and went to Geshur , etc.] Where Absalom was with his grandfather, the king of the place; (see 2 Samuel 13:37,38); and brought Absalom to Jerusalem ; from thence, which, according to Bunting f245 , was the distance of eighty eight miles from it.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 21-24 -
David was inclined to favour Absalom, yet, for the honour of his justice, he could not do it but upon application made for him, whic may show the methods of Divine grace. It is true that God has thought of compassion toward poor sinners, not willing that any should perish yet he is only reconciled to them through a Mediator, who pleads of their behalf. God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, an Christ came to this land of our banishment, to bring us to God.
