SEV Biblia, Chapter 14:26
y de allí navegaron a Antioquía, donde habían sido encomendados a la gracia de Dios para la obra que habían acabado.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - Acts 14:26
Verse 26. And thence sailed to Antioch] This was Antioch in Syria; and to reach which, by sea, they were obliged to coast a part of the Mediterranean Sea, steering between Cyprus and Cilicia; though they might have gone the whole journey by land. Whence they had been recommended-for the work which they fulfilled.] The reader will recollect that it was from this Antioch they had been sent to preach the Gospel to the heathen in Asia Minor: see chap. xiii. 1, 2; and that they fulfilled that work: see in the same chapter, chap. xiii. 48; and the circumstantial account of their travels and preaching given in this chapter.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 26. And thence sailed to Antioch , etc.] In Syria, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God ; by the prophets: from this place they first set out on their travels; here they were separated by the order of the Holy Ghost to the work of the ministry, and by them they were sent forth, after they had in prayer commended them to God, and to his grace to assist them, and succeed them, as well as to fit them for the work which they fulfilled ; that is, for the work of the ministry, for the preaching of the Gospel in several places; and which they had now gone through, and finished with great integrity and faithfulness, and with much success, though through many afflictions and persecutions.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 19-28 - See how restless the rage of the Jews was against the gospel of Christ The people stoned Paul, in a popular tumult. So strong is the bent of the corrupt and carnal heart, that as it is with great difficulty tha men are kept back from evil on one side, so it is with great ease the are persuaded to evil on the other side. If Paul would have bee Mercury, he might have been worshipped; but if he will be a faithfu minister of Christ, he shall be stoned, and thrown out of the city Thus men who easily submit to strong delusions, hate to receive the truth in the love of it. All who are converted need to be confirmed in the faith; all who are planted need to be rooted. Ministers' work is to establish saints as well as to awaken sinners. The grace of God, an nothing less, effectually establishes the souls of the disciples. It is true, we must count upon much tribulation, but it is encouragement tha we shall not be lost and perish in it. The Person to whose power an grace the converts and the newly-established churches are commended clearly was the Lord Jesus, "on whom they had believed." It was an ac of worship. The praise of all the little good we do at any time, mus be ascribed to God; for it is He who not only worketh in us both to will and to do, but also worketh with us to make what we do successful All who love the Lord Jesus, will rejoice to hear that he has opene the door of faith wide, to those who were strangers to him and to his salvation. And let us, like the apostles, abide with those who know an love the Lord __________________________________________________________________

14:26 {They sailed away to Antioch} (apepleusan eis antioceian). Effective aorist active indicative of apoplew, to sail off. They had been gone some eighteen months. {They had been committed} (esan paradedomenoi). Periphrastic past perfect passive of paradidwmi, old and common verb. High and serious thoughts filled the hearts of these first returned missionaries as they neared home. The grace of God had been with them. They had fulfilled (eplerwsan) the work to which they had been set apart by the Holy Spirit with the prayers of the Antioch church. They now had a wondrous story to tell.
