SEV Biblia, Chapter 24:8
También David se levantó después, y saliendo de la cueva dio voces a las espaldas de Saúl, diciendo: ¡Mi señor el rey! Y cuando Saúl miró atrás, David inclinó su rostro a tierra, y adoró.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 8. David also arose afterward , etc.] After Saul was gone: and went out of the cave ; where he had been all the time that Saul had been in it: and cried after Saul : with a loud voice: my lord the king; by which titles Saul would know that he was called unto: and when Saul looked behind him ; to see who it was that called unto him: David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself : giving reverence and honour to him as a king; (see Gill on “ 1 Samuel 20:41”).
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 8-15 - David was falsely charged with seeking Saul's hurt; he shows Saul tha God's providence had given him opportunity to do it. And it was upon good principle that he refused to do it. He declares his fixe resolution never to be his own avenger. If men wrong us, God will righ us, at farthest, in the judgment of the great day.
