SEV Biblia, Chapter 20:27
Y todo Judá y los de Jerusalén, y Josafat a la cabeza de ellos, volvieron para regresar a Jerusalén con gozo, porque el SEÑOR les había dado gozo de sus enemigos.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - 2 Chronicles 20:27
Verse 27. Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them] He was their leader in all these spiritual, holy, fatiguing, and self- denying exercises. What a noble and persuasive pattern!
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 27. Then they returned, every man of Judah and of Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat at the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy , etc.] There to praise the Lord in the temple, as they had done in the valley: for the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies ; by giving them a complete victory, and making them masters of so much wealth and riches.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 20-30 - Jehoshaphat exhorted his troops to firm faith in God. Faith inspires man with true courage; nor will any thing help more to the establishin of the heart in shaking times, than a firm belief of the power, an mercy, and promise of God. In all our trust in the Lord, and ou praises of him, let us especially look at his everlasting mercy to sinners through Jesus Christ. Never was an army so destroyed as that of the enemy. Thus God often makes wicked people destroy one another. An never was a victory celebrated with more solemn thanksgivings.
