SEV Biblia, Chapter 15:15

Y tú vendrás a tus padres en paz, y serás sepultado en buena vejez.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Genesis 15:15

Verse 15. Thou shalt go to thy fathers in
peace] This verse strongly implies the immortality of the soul, and a state of separate existence. He was gathered to his fathers] introduced into the place where separate spirits are kept, waiting for the general resurrection. Two things seem to be distinctly marked here: 1. The soul of Abram should be introduced among the assembly of the first-born; Thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace.2. His body should be buried after a long life, one hundred and seventy-five years, chap. xxv. 7. The body was buried; the soul went to the spiritual world, to dwell among the fathers - the patriarchs, who had lived and died in the Lord. See note on ""Gen xxv. 8.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 12-16 - A deep sleep fell upon
Abram; with this sleep a horror of grea darkness fell upon him: a sudden change. The children of light do no always walk in the light. Several things were then foretold. 1. The suffering state of Abram's seed for a long time. They shall be strangers. The heirs of heaven are strangers on earth. They shall be servants; but Canaanites serve under a curse, the Hebrews under blessing. They shall be suffers. Those that are blessed and beloved of God, are often sorely afflicted by wicked men. 2. The judgment of the enemies of Abram's seed. Though God may allow persecutors an oppressors to trample upon his people a great while, he will certainl reckon with them at last. 3. That great event, the deliverance of Abram's seed out of Egypt, is here foretold. 4. Their happy settlemen in Canaan. They shall come hither again. The measure of sin fill gradually. Some people's measure of sin fills slowly. The knowledge of future events would seldom add to our comfort. In the most favoure families, and most happy lives, there are so many afflictions, that it is merciful in God to conceal what will befall us and ours.
