King James Bible - Jeremiah 33:22

As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

World English Bible

As the army of the sky can't be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites who minister to me.

Douay-Rheims - Jeremiah 33:22

As the stars of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea be measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites my ministers.

Webster's Bible Translation

As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister to me.

SEV Biblia, Chapter 33:22

Como no puede ser contado el ejército del cielo, ni la arena del mar se puede medir, así multiplicaré la simiente de David mi siervo, y los levitas que a mí ministran.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Jeremiah 33:22

Verse 22. So will I multiply the
seed of David] This must be understood of the spiritual David, Jesus Christ, and his progeny, genuine Christians. The two families which God chose for the priesthood, that of Aaron and Phinehas, or, on its being taken away from him, that of Ithamar, 1 Sam. ii. 35, are both extinct. Nor has the office of high priest, or priest of any kind offering sacrifice, been exercised among the Jews for nearly eighteen hundred years; therefore what is said here of the priesthood must refer to the spiritual priesthood, at the head of which is Jesus Christ.
Matthew Henry Commentary
The
restoration of the Jews. (Jer. 33:1-13) The Messiah promised happiness of his times. (Jer. 33:14-26)

Jer. 33:1-13 Those who expect to receive comforts from God, must cal upon him. Promises are given, not to do away, but to quicken an encourage prayer. These promises lead us to the gospel of Christ; an in that God has revealed truth to direct us, and peace to make us easy All who by sanctifying grace are cleansed from the filth of sin, by pardoning mercy are freed from the guilt. When sinners are thu justified, washed, and sanctified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Holy Spirit, they are enabled to walk before God in peace an purity. Many are led to perceive the real difference between the people of God and the world around them, and to fear the Divine wrath. It is promised that the people who were long in sorrow, shall again be fille with joy. Where the Lord gives righteousness and peace, he will giv all needful supplies for temporal wants; and all we have will be comforts, as sanctified by the word and by prayer.

Jer. 33:14-26 To crown the blessings God has in store, here is promise of the Messiah. He imparts righteousness to his church, for he is made of God to us righteousness; and believers are made the righteousness of God in him. Christ is our Lord God, our righteousness our sanctification, and our redemption. His kingdom is an everlastin kingdom. But in this world prosperity and adversity succeed each other as light and darkness, day and night. The covenant of priesthood shal be secured. And all true believers are a holy priesthood, a roya priesthood, they offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God themselves, in the first place, as living sacrifices. The promises of that covenant shall have full accomplishment in the gospel Israel. I Gal. 6:16, all that walk according to the gospel rule, are made to be the Israel of God, on whom shall be peace and mercy. Let us not despis the families which were of old the chosen people of God, though for time they seem to be cast off __________________________________________________________________
