SEV Biblia, Chapter 26:22

Y David respondió, y dijo: He aquí la lanza del rey; pase acá uno de los criados, y tómela.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 22. And
David answered and said, behold the king’s spear ! etc.] And which perhaps was his sceptre, and which David therefore would not keep, lest it should be thought or said that he had deprived him of an ensign of his royalty, and be interpreted as a token of his design to seize his crown and throne: and let one of the young men come over and fetch it ; for notwithstanding the acknowledgment Saul had made of his sin and folly, David did not choose to carry the spear to him; not caring to trust him, and put himself into his hands, lest the evil spirit should return and come upon him suddenly, and alter his disposition and carriage; nor would he send any of his men with it, whose lives were dear to him, lest they should be seized as traitors, but desires one of Saul’s men might be sent for it.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 21-25 -
Saul repeated his good words and good wishes. But he showed no evidenc of true repentance towards God. David and Saul parted to meet no more No reconciliation among men is firm, which is not founded in a cemented by peace with God through Jesus Christ. In sinning agains God, men play the fool, and err exceedingly. Many obtain a passing vie of these truths, who hate and close their eyes against the light. Fai professions do not entitle those to confidence who have long sinne against the light, yet the confessions of obstinate sinners may satisf us that we are in the right way, and encourage us to persevere expecting our recompence from the Lord alone __________________________________________________________________
