SEV Biblia, Chapter 16:36
Y el carcelero hizo saber estas palabras a Pablo: Los magistrados han enviado a decir que seas suelto; así que ahora salid, e id en paz.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 36. And the keeper of the prison told this, saying to Paul , etc.] The Ethiopic version adds, and to Silas; this was the same person with the jailer, whom Paul had baptized; and indeed, the same word is here used, though a little differently rendered, who no doubt reported this message to Paul with great joy: the magistrates have sent to let you go ; they have sent an order to let you out of prison: now therefore depart, and go in peace ; which expresses the jailers pleasure of mind, and joy of heart, in executing his orders; and his sincere and hearty wishes for peace and prosperity to go along with them wherever they went, who had been instrumental of so much good to him and his family.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 35-40 - Paul, though willing to suffer for the cause of Christ, and without an desire to avenge himself, did not choose to depart under the charge of having deserved wrongful punishment, and therefore required to be dismissed in an honourable manner. It was not a mere point of honou that the apostle stood upon, but justice, and not to himself so much a to his cause. And when proper apology is made, Christians should neve express personal anger, nor insist too strictly upon personal amends The Lord will make them more than conquerors in every conflict; instea of being cast down by their sufferings, they will become comforters of their brethren __________________________________________________________________

16:36 {Now therefore} (nun oun). Note both particles (time and inference). It was a simple matter to the jailor and he was full of glee over this happy outcome.
