SEV Biblia, Chapter 34:8

Chet Gustad, y ved que es bueno el SEÑOR; dichoso el hombre que confiará en él.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Psalms 33:8

Verse 8. O
taste and see that the Lord is good ] Apply to him by faith and prayer; plead his promises, he will fulfill them; and you shall know in consequence, that the Lord is good. God has put it in the power of every man to know whether the religion of the Bible be true or false. The promises relative to enjoyments in this life are the grand tests of Divine revelation. These must be fulfilled to all them who with deep repentance and true faith turn unto the Lord, if the revelation which contains them be of God. Let any man in this spirit approach his Maker, and plead the promises that are suited to his case, and he will soon know whether the doctrine be of God. He shall taste, and then see, that the Lord is good, and that the man is blessed who trusts in him. This is what is called experimental religion; the living, operative knowledge that a true believer has that he is passed from death unto life; that his sins are forgiven him for Christ's sake, the Spirit himself bearing witness with his spirit that he is a child of God. And, as long as he is faithful, he carries about with him the testimony of the Holy Ghost; and he knows that he is of God, by the Spirit which God has given him.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 1-10 - If we
hope to spend eternity in praising God, it is fit that we shoul spend much of our time here in this work. He never said to any one Seek ye me in vain. David's prayers helped to silence his fears; man besides him have looked unto the Lord by faith and prayer, and it ha wonderfully revived and comforted them. When we look to the world, we are perplexed, and at a loss. But on looking to Christ depends ou whole salvation, and all things needful thereunto do so also. This poor man, whom no man looked upon with any respect, or looked after with an concern, was yet welcome to the throne of grace; the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The holy angels minister to the saints, and stand for them against the powers of darkness. All the glory be to the Lord of the angels. By taste and sight we both make discoveries, and have enjoyment; Taste and see God's goodness; tak notice of it, and take the comfort of it. He makes all truly blesse that trust in him. As to the things of the other world, they shall have grace sufficient for the support of spiritual life. And as to thi life, they shall have what is necessary from the hand of God. Paul ha all, and abounded, because he was content, Php 4:11-18. Those who trus to themselves, and think their own efforts sufficient for them, shal want; but they shall be fed who trust in the Lord. Those shall no want, who with quietness work, and mind their own business.
