SEV Biblia, Chapter 32:34

Y los hijos de Gad edificaron a Dibón, y a Atarot, y a Aroer,

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Numbers 32:34

Verse 34. The
children of Gad built-Aroer] This was situated on the river Arnon, Deut. ii. 36; 2 Kings x. 33. It was formerly inhabited by the Emim, a warlike and perhaps gigantic people. They were expelled by the Moabites; the Moabites by the Amorites; and the Amorites by the Israelites. The Gadites then possessed it till the captivity of their tribe, with that of Reuben and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, by the Assyrians, 2 Kings xv. 29, after which the Moabites appear to have repossessed it, as they seem to have occupied it in the days of Jeremiah, Jeremiah xlviii. 15-20.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 34. And the
children of Gad built , etc.] Or rather repaired the walls and fortifications, and rebuilt houses which had been demolished in the wars with Sihon and Og; when the following places were taken by the Israelites: Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer ; the two first are mentioned in ( Numbers 32:3). Aroer was a city situated on the river Arnon, and was after this in the hands of the Moabites: Jerom says f468 , it was showed in his day on the top of the mountain, upon the bank of the river Arnon, which flows into the Dead sea, ( Jeremiah 48:19).

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 28-42 - Concerning the settlement of these
tribes, observe, that they built the cities, that is, repaired them. They changed the names of them probably they were idolatrous, therefore they should be forgotten. spirit of selfishness, of seeking our own, not the things of Christ when each one ought to assist others, is as dangerous as it is common It is impossible to be sincere in the faith, sensible of the goodnes of God, constrained by the love of Christ, sanctified by the power of the Holy Ghost, and yet be indifferent to the progress of religion, an the spiritual success of others, through love of ease, or fear of conflict. Let then your light so shine before men, that they may se your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven __________________________________________________________________
