SEV Biblia, Chapter 145:13
Mem Tu reino es reino de todos los siglos, y tu señorío en todas generaciones.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - Psalms 144:13
Verse 13. Thy dominion endureth ] There is neither age nor people in and over which God does not manifest his benignly ruling power. As the above verse begins with the letter m mem, the next in the order of the alphabet shouid begin with n nun: but that verse is totally wanting. To say it never was in, is false, because the alphabet is not complete without it; and it is an unanswerable argument to prove the careless manner in which the Jews have preserved the Divine records. Though the Syriac, Septuagint, Vulgate, AEthiopic, Arabic, and Anglo-Saxon, have a verse, not in the Hebrew text, that answers to the n nun, which is found in no printed copy of the Hebrew Bible; yet one MS., now in Trinity College, Dublin, has it thus, I suppose by correction, in the bottom of the page: - wy[m lkb dysjw wyrbd lkb hwhy man Neeman Yehovah bechol debaraiv; vechasid bechol maasaiv. "The Lord is faithful in all his words; and merciful in all his works." pistov kuriov en toiv logoiv autou kai osiov en pasi tiov ergoiv autou. SEPTUAGINT.
Fidelis Dominus in omnibus verbis suis: et sanctus in omnibus operibus suis. - VULGATE.
These two Versions, the Septuagint and Vulgate, are the same with the Hebrew given above. The Anglo-Saxon is the same: - . "True Lord in all words his, and holy in all works his." The Latin text in my old Psalter is the same with thefpresent printed Vulgate: "Fidelis Dominus in omnibus verbis suis, et sanctus in omnibus operibus suis." Thus translated in the same MSS.: "Lorde true in all his words: and holy in al his workes".
It is remarkable that the whole verse is wanting in the Vulgate, as published in the Complutenstan Polyglot, as also the Antwerp and Paris Polyglots, which were taken from it. It is wanting also in the Polyglot Psalter of Porus, because he did not find it in the Hebrew text.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 10-21 - All God's works show forth his praises. He satisfies the desire of every living thing, except the unreasonable children of men, who ar satisfied with nothing. He does good to all the children of men; his own people in a special manner. Many children of God, who have bee ready to fall into sin, to fall into despair, have tasted his goodnes in preventing their falls, or recovering them speedily by his grace and comforts. And with respect to all that are heavy laden under the burden of sin, if they come to Christ by faith, he will ease them, he will raise them. He is very ready to hear and answer the prayers of his people. He is present every where; but in a special way he is nigh to them, as he is not to others. He is in their hearts, and dwells ther by faith, and they dwell in him. He is nigh to those that call upo him, to help them in all times of need. He will be nigh to them, tha they may have what they ask, and find what they seek, if they call upo him in truth and sincerity. And having taught men to love his name an holy ways, he will save them from the destruction of the wicked. May we then love his name, and walk in his ways, while we desire that all flesh should bless his holy name for ever and ever __________________________________________________________________
