SEV Biblia, Chapter 15:15

Y los siervos del rey dijeron al rey: He aquí, tus siervos están prestos a todo lo que nuestro señor el rey eligiere.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 15. And the king’s
servants said unto the king , etc.] In answer to him, and to show that they were quite conformable to his pleasure: behold, thy servants [are ready to do] whatsoever my lord the king shalt appoint ; or “choose” f260 , whether to prepare to fight, and defend him and the city, or to depart and make their escape.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 13-23 -
David determined to quit Jerusalem. He took this resolve, as a peniten submitting to the rod. Before unrighteous Absalom he could justif himself, and stand out; but before the righteous God he must condem himself, and yield to his judgments. Thus he accepts the punishment of his sin. And good men, when they themselves suffer, are anxious tha others should not be led to suffer with them. He compelled none; thos whose hearts were with Absalom, to Absalom let them go, and so shal their doom be. Thus Christ enlists none but willing followers. Davi cannot bear to think that Ittai, a stranger and an exile, a proselyt and a new convert, who ought to be encouraged and made easy, shoul meet with hard usage. But such value has Ittai for David's wisdom an goodness, that he will not leave him. He is a friend indeed, who love at all times, and will adhere to us in adversity. Let us cleave to the Son of David, with full purpose of heart, and neither life nor deat shall separate us from his love.
