For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

World English Bible

As for me, I said in my haste, "I am cut off from before your eyes." Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Psalms 30:22

Verse 22. I said in my haste ] Not duly adverting to the promise of God, I was led to conclude that my enemies were so strong, so numerous, and had so many advantages against me, that I must necessarily fall into and by their hands; however, I continued to pray, and thou didst hear the voice of my supplication.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 19-24 - Instead of yielding to impatience or despondency under our troubles, we should turn our thoughts to the goodness of the Lord towards those wh fear and trust in Him. All comes to sinners through the wondrous gif of the only-begotten Son of God, to be the atonement for their sins Let not any yield to unbelief, or think, under discouragin circumstances, that they are cut off from before the eyes of the Lord and left to the pride of men. Lord, pardon our complaints and fears increase our faith, patience, love, and gratitude; teach us to rejoic in tribulation and in hope. The deliverance of Christ, with the destruction of his enemies, ought to strengthen and comfort the heart of believers under all their afflictions here below, that havin suffered courageously with their Master, they may triumphantly ente into his joy and glory __________________________________________________________________
