y sanad los enfermos que en ella hubiere, y decidles: Se ha llegado a vosotros el Reino de Dios.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - Luke 10:9
Verse 9. The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.] ef umav, is just upon you. This was the general text on which they were to preach all their sermons. See it explained, Matt. iii. 2.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 9. And heal the sick that are therein , etc.] Of all their bodily diseases, which would not only show their power and warrant, theft mission and commission, but also their goodness and beneficence to men; and would be a sufficient return for what they ate and drank: and say unto them ; not only to the sick that are healed, and those in the house in which they were, but to all the inhabitants of the city; the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you : the Gospel dispensation, the kingdom of the Messiah, and even the Messiah himself, as might be concluded from the miracles they wrought; and thus by their ministry and works, were they to go before Christ, and prepare his way.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 1-16 - Christ sent the seventy disciples, two and two, that they migh strengthen and encourage one another. The ministry of the gospel call men to receive Christ as a Prince and a Saviour; and he will surel come in the power of his Spirit to all places whither he sends his faithful servants. But the doom of those who receive the grace of God in vain, will be very fearful Those who despise the faithful minister of Christ, who think meanly of them, and look scornfully upon them will be reckoned as despisers of God and Christ.
