SEV Biblia, Chapter 41:8 Pon tu mano sobre él; te acordarás de la batalla, y nunca más tornarás.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - Job 41:8 Verse 8. Lay thine hand upon him? ] Mr. Heath translates, "Be sure thou strike home. Mind thy blow: rely not upon a second stroke." Mr. Good translates: - "Make ready thy hand against him. Dare the contest: be firm." He is a dangerous animal; when thou attackest him, be sure of thy advantage; if thou miss, thou art ruined. Depend not on other advantages, if thou miss the first. Kill him at once, or he will kill thee.
Concerning Leviathan. --The description of the Leviathan, is yet further to convince Job of his own weakness, and of God's almighty power. Whether this Leviatha be a whale or a crocodile, is disputed. The Lord, having showed Job ho unable he was to deal with the Leviathan, sets forth his own power in that mighty creature. If such language describes the terrible force of Leviathan, what words can express the power of God's wrath? Under humbling sense of our own vileness, let us revere the Divine Majesty take and fill our allotted place, cease from our own wisdom, and giv all glory to our gracious God and Saviour. Remembering from whom ever good gift cometh, and for what end it was given, let us walk humbl with the Lord __________________________________________________________________
