SEV Biblia, Chapter 51:5
He aquí, en maldad he sido formado, y en pecado me concibió mi madre.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - Psalms 50:5
Verse 5. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity ] A genuine penitent will hide nothing of his state; he sees and bewails, not only the acts of sin which he has committed, but the disposition that led to those acts. He deplores, not only the transgression, but the carnal mind which is enmity against God. The light that shines into his soul shows him the very source whence transgression proceeds; he sees his fallen nature, as well as his sinful life; he asks pardon for his transgressions, and he asks washing and cleansing for his inward defilement. Notwithstanding all that Grotius and others have said to the contrary, I believe David to speak here of what is commonly called original sin; the propensity to evil which every man brings into the world with him, and which is the fruitful source whence all transgression proceeds. The word ytllwj cholalti, which we translate shaped, means more properly, I was brought forth from the womb; and yntmjy yechemathni rather signifies made me warm, alluding to the whole process of the formation of the fetus in utero, the formative heat which is necessary to develope the parts of all embryo animals; to incubate the ova in the female, after having been impregnated by the male; and to bring the whole into such a state of maturity and perfection as to render it capable of subsisting and growing up by aliment received from without. "As my parts were developed in the womb, the sinful principle diffused itself through the whole, so that body and mind grew up in a state of corruption and moral imperfection."
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 7-15 - Purge me with hyssop, with the blood of Christ applied to my soul by lively faith, as the water of purification was sprinkled with a bunc of hyssop. The blood of Christ is called the blood of sprinkling, He 12:24. If this blood of Christ, which cleanses from all sin, cleanse u from our sin, then we shall be clean indeed, Heb 10:2. He asks not to be comforted, till he is first cleansed; if sin, the bitter root of sorrow, be taken away, he can pray in faith, Let me have well-grounded peace, of thy creating, so that the bones broken by convictions may rejoice, may be comforted. Hide thy face from my sins blot out all mine iniquities out of thy book; blot them out, as a clou is blotted out and dispelled by the beams of the sun. And the believe desires renewal to holiness as much as the joy of salvation. David no saw, more than ever, what an unclean heart he had, and sadly lament it; but he sees it is not in his own power to amend it, and therefor begs God would create in him a clean heart. When the sinner feels thi change is necessary, and reads the promise of God to that purpose, he begins to ask it. He knew he had by his sin grieved the Holy Spirit and provoked him to withdraw. This he dreads more than anything. He prays that Divine comforts may be restored to him. When we giv ourselves cause to doubt our interest in salvation, how can we expec the joy of it? This had made him weak; he prays, I am ready to fall either into sin or into despair, therefore uphold me with thy Spirit Thy Spirit is a free Spirit, a free Agent himself, working freely. An the more cheerful we are in our duty, the more constant we shall be to it. What is this but the liberty wherewith Christ makes his people free, which is contrasted with the yoke of bondage? Ga 5:1. It is the Spirit of adoption spoken to the heart. Those to whom God is the God of salvation, he will deliver from guilt; for the salvation he is the God of, is salvation from sin. We may therefore plead with him, Lord, tho art the God of my salvation, therefore deliver me from the dominion of sin. And when the lips are opened, what should they speak but the praises of God for his forgiving mercy?
