SEV Biblia, Chapter 17:16

y se derrib sobre el rostro a sus pies, dndole gracias; y ste era samaritano.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Luke 17:16

Verse 16. He was a Samaritan.] One who professed a very
corrupt religion; and from whom much less was to be expected than from the other nine, who probably were Jews.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 16. And he fell down on his face at his feet , etc.] For being cleansed, he might draw nigh unto
Jesus; and which he did, with the most profound respect unto him, and reverence of him; and having a deep sense of the favour he had received from him, prostrated himself in this manner before him: giving him thanks ; who had shown compassion to him, had exerted his power on him, and had favoured him with such a singular mercy, as restoring him to health: and he was a Samaritan ; this is particularly remarked by the evangelist, because the Samaritans were reckoned by the Jews, to be ignorant and irreligious persons, and no better than Heathens; and yet this man behaved as a religious good man, who had a sense of his mercy, knew his duty, and his obligations, and performed them; when the other nine, who very likely were all Jews, acted a very stupid and ungrateful part.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 11-19 - A sense of our
spiritual leprosy should make us very humble whenever we draw near to Christ. It is enough to refer ourselves to the compassion of Christ, for they fail not. We may look for God to meet us with mercy, when we are found in the way of obedience. Only one of those wh were healed returned to give thanks. It becomes us, like him, to be very humble in thanksgivings, as well as in prayers. Christ noticed the one who thus distinguished himself, he was a Samaritan. The others onl got the outward cure, he alone got the spiritual blessing.

Robertson's NT Word Studies

17:16 {And he was a Samaritan} (kai autos en samareites). this touch colors the whole incident. The one man who felt
grateful enough to come back and thank Jesus for the blessing was a despised Samaritan. The autos has point here.
