SEV Biblia, Chapter 14:27
Y cualquiera que no carga su madero, y viene en pos de mí, no puede ser mi discípulo.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - Luke 14:27
Verse 27. Doth not bear his cross] See on Matt. x. 38; xvi. 24.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 27. Whosoever doth not bear his cross , etc.] All reproach, afflictions, persecutions, and death itself, cheerfully and patiently; the Ethiopic version renders it, of his death the cross; it signifies whatever is trying and disagreeable to flesh and blood: and come after me ; bearing his cross; as Christ himself was about to do, and which doubtless he had in view; cannot be my disciple ; he is not so in reality, nor does he deserve the name.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 25-35 - Though the disciples of Christ are not all crucified, yet they all bea their cross, and must bear it in the way of duty. Jesus bids them coun upon it, and then consider of it. Our Saviour explains this by tw similitudes; the former showing that we must consider the expenses of our religion; the latter, that we must consider the perils of it. Sin down and count the cost; consider it will cost the mortifying of sin even the most beloved lusts. The proudest and most daring sinner cannot stand against God, for who knows the power of his anger? It is ou interest to seek peace with him, and we need not send to ask condition of peace, they are offered to us, and are highly to our advantage. I some way a disciple of Christ will be put to the trial. May we seek to be disciples indeed, and be careful not to grow slack in ou profession, or afraid of the cross; that we may be the good salt of the earth, to season those around us with the savour of Christ __________________________________________________________________

Vincent's NT Word Studies
27. His cross. More correctly, his own. An important charge. All must bear the cross, but not all the same cross: each one his own.
Robertson's NT Word Studies
14:27 {His own cross} (ton stauron heauto-). this familiar figure we have had already (#Lu 9:23; Mr 8:34; Mt 10:38; 16:24). Each follower has a cross which he must bear as Jesus did his. bastazw is used of cross bearing in the N.T. only here (figuratively) and #Joh 19:17 literally of Jesus. Crucifixion was common enough in Palestine since the days of Antiochus Epiphanes and Alexander Jannaeus.
