SEV Biblia, Chapter 5:35
Pero vendrn días cuando el esposo les ser quitado; entonces ayunarn en aquellos días.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 35. But the days will come , etc.] And that in a very little time, as they did: when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them : as their master, John, was taken away from them, and now in prison, and therefore it was no wonder they mourned and fasted; signifying, that in a short time he, the bridegroom of his church and people, should be taken away by death: and then they shall fast in those days ; mourn, and be humbled, of which fasting was, a sign, for the death of their Lord, and on account of the many afflictions and persecutions they should endure for his sake; (See Gill on Matthew 9:15).
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 27-39 - It was a wonder of Christ's grace, that he would call a publican to be his disciple and follower. It was a wonder of his grace, that the cal was made so effectual. It was a wonder of his grace, that he came to call sinners to repentance, and to assure them of pardon. It was wonder of his grace, that he so patiently bore the contradiction of sinners against himself and his disciples. It was a wonder of his grace, that he fixed the services of his disciples according to their strength and standing. The Lord trains up his people gradually for the trials allotted them; we should copy his example in dealing with the weak in faith, or the tempted believer __________________________________________________________________

35. But the days will come when, etc. (eleusontai de hmerai kai otan). The A.V. follows a reading which omits kai, and, which is inserted in all the best texts. The thought is broken off. "The days shall come - and when the bridegroom shall be taken away, then shall they fast." So Rev.

5:35 {qen in those days} (tote en ekeinais tais hemerais). Here #Mr 2:20 has "qen in that day," and #Mt 9:15 only "qen."
