VERSE (49) -
:41-43 Mt 9:23-26 Mr 5:35 *etc:

SEV Biblia, Chapter 8:49

Estando an l hablando, vino uno del príncipe de la sinagoga a decirle: Tu hija est muerta, no des trabajo al Maestro.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 49. While he yet spake , etc.] The above words to the
woman; there cometh one : Mark suggests there were more than one, ( Mark 5:35), and the Persic version here reads, some of the ruler's family came; that is, to him, who was now with Jesus: from the ruler of the synagogue's house; so the word house is supplied by the Syriac and Ethiopic versions; otherwise the words would be, from the ruler of the synagogue ; which could not be, since he was still with Christ: hence some versions, as the Vulgate and Arabic, render them, to the ruler of the synagogue; and which give a true sense, and a right view of the case; for this messenger both came from his house, and to him: saying to him, thy daughter is dead, trouble not the master ; to bring him any further, since all hope of help was now gone. The Vulgate Latin version, instead of master, reads him; and the Ethiopic version, Jesus.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 41-56 - Let us not complain of a
crowd, and a throng, and a hurry, as long a we are in the way of our duty, and doing good; but otherwise every wis man will keep himself out of it as much as he can. And many a poor sou is healed, and helped, and saved by Christ, that is hidden in a crowd and nobody notices it. This woman came trembling, yet her faith save her. There may be trembling, where yet there is saving faith. Observ Christ's comfortable words to Jairus, Fear not, believe only, and the daughter shall be made whole. No less hard was it not to grieve for the loss of an only child, than not to fear the continuance of that grief But in perfect faith there is no fear; the more we fear, the less we believe. The hand of Christ's grace goes with the calls of his word, to make them effectual. Christ commanded to give her meat. As babes ne born, so those newly raised from sin, desire spiritual food, that the may grow thereby __________________________________________________________________

Vincent's NT Word Studies

49. From the
ruler of the synagogue's house. A.V. and Rev. properly supply house, as the ruler himself is present with Jesus.

Dead. Placed first in the Greek order, for emphasis. "Dead is thy daughter."

Trouble. See on Matt. ix. 36; Mark v. 35. Tyndale renders dis-ease, in the old verbal sense of disturb.

Robertson's NT Word Studies

8:49 {From the ruler of the synagogue's house} (para tou arcisunagwgou). The word "house" is not in the Greek here as in #Mr 5:35 where apo is used rather than para, as here. But the ruler himself had come to Jesus (#Lu 8:41) and this is the real idea. Trouble not (meketi skulle). See on Lu 7:6 for this verb and also #Mr 5:35; Mt 9:36.
